The closest airports, located in Faro or Lisbon are
a 2 and 2,5 hours drive respectively.
A rental car is advisable since there is very little
local public transport.
There is an express bus from Lisbon to Cavaleiro (4,5
hours).

From LISBON airport:
•
Follow the indication 'outras
direcções', then to Norte - Pte.V.d.Gama,
turn right to go on the bridge (Ponte). Follow the highway
towards south in the direction Algarve
until exit N° 10 Beja.
• Follow the signs
to Algarve, after about
20 km (Mimosa) turn to
the right (N262) in direction of Alvalade
- Cercal.
• In Cercal
leave the roundabout in direction of Milfontes.
• Pass Milfontes,
cross the bridge, about 11 km behind the bridge over
Rio Mira turn right in direction of Cavaleiro/Cabo
Sardão.
• After 7 km in
Cavaleiro turn right, after
50 m turn right and follow the sign Moita
Nova.
From FARO Airport:
•
Take the motorway (A22) in direction of Sines
until it ends.
• Follow the signs
Aljezur - São
Teotónio - Zambujeira
- Cavaleiro/Cabo Sardão.
•In
Cavaleiro when you see the telefon cabin turn right
and follow the sign Moita
Nova.
